How coins and currency are evaluated

Bullion and common silver coins are valued mainly on their metal content and the current market price. Collectible coins and old notes also depend on rarity and condition. We look at each piece and explain how we arrived at the offer.

Tips before you come in

• Do not clean coins. Cleaning can lower their value.
• Keep coins and notes in whatever holders or sleeves they are already in.
• Bring the whole collection if you can, even pieces you think are ordinary.
